More than 251 types of birds from 16 families have been noted in the Delta. Here nest 100-120 thousand of ducks. In the Selenga River Delta it`s possible to find the whooper swan (Cygnus cygnus), the roody shelduck (Tadorna berraginea), the Baikal teal (Anas formosa), the imperial eagle (Aquila heliaca), the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), the common crane (Grus grus), the goshawk (Astur palumbarius), sparrow hawk (Accipiter nisus) etc. Moreover, you will visit to the oldest lighthouse on Baikal and the Orthodox Cathedral of Configuration of the Savior in the Posolskoye settlement (the oldest monastery for men behind the Ural Mountains).
