Datsan Hambin Hure in Ulan-Ude
This is pandido khambo-lama`s residence.
Datsan is located in Ulan Ude. It was founded by pandido Khambo-lama Damba Ayusheev in 1994.
Also it is possible to see unique Datshur`s sutres (canonical texts of Buddha and Buddha`s disciples), an engvared gilded statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, a carved cedar throne devoted to Dalai Lama XIV. It is propped up by 8 lions.
In addition, you can find here precious tributes, Buddhist icons (Tanka), painted by natural paints and devoted to 25 Shambala`s masters. The main temple was consecrated in 2003. Some traditional services carry out accoding to Buddhist canons in the temple.

Atsagatsky Datsan
Atsagatsky Datsan is located 50 kilometers of Ulan Ude. It is one of 15 reopened Datsans.
Atsagat is last residence of Tsanid - Hambo Dorshiev. Local inhabitants have kept the log house belonging to Agvan Dorshiev, teacher and Dalai Lama`s XIII mentor, which is situated close by Hara - Atsagat mineral source.
Dalai Lama IX visited this plase twice.
Tamchinsky (Gusinoozersky) Datsan
Tamchinsky datsan is located 150 kilometers of Ulan Ude close by the road leading to Mongolia. Following the decree of Empress Elizaveta it became Buddhist centre in Russia in 1741.
It was the residence of Kenpo Lama. It remained the main seat of Kenpo Lama of Buryat Buddhists until the 1930s.
There are 17 temples here and two among them are buryat worship monuments by 18 - 19 centuries in fair preservation at the present.

Kurumkansky Datsan
"Gandan She Duvlin" the place of carring All - Russian meetings. Kurumkan is a special buddhist place and it`s quite natural that Bogdo Gegen, Geshe Dshampa Tinley and others distinguished ecclesiastics arrive gust here. Admirers from all Russian regions gather in the datsan.
Egituisky Datsan
Egituisky Datsan is located 300 kilometers of Ulan Ude, built in 1826.
This complex consistsed of four worship buildings. Shandan Shuu statue (sandalwood tree Buddha) is the datsan`s treasure.
It was one of the moss beautiful Datsans. There were three worship buildings - Medical, Philosophical and Astrologic among the main temple.
Also there was a printing house here. Tsam was one of the main festivals.
Datsans in the Tunka valley
Datsan "Tushite" is situated in Kiren settlement, built in 1817, destroyed in the period of campaign against both shamans and Buddhists and reopened in 1990. Datsan`s first name is "Dechin - Darshaling".
Datsan was the main Buddhist temple long time ago. It was responsible for the spread of teachings in Tunkinskaja valley. The unique Buddhist treatice "Ganshur" with gold binding kept in this datsan.
Datsan "Bodhi Dharma". Datsan has inherited unique Hoimoisky Handagataisky Datsan`s traditions, which was built by Agvan Dorshiev, distinguish buryat religious figure in 1897 as a prototype of Sankt - Peterburg Buddhist monastery. The place for Handagataisky Datsan was choose by Agvan Dorshiev not far from the sacred place "Chingis Khan`s throne". He wrote in his autobiography: "Local mountain spirits prefer this "white side" and displayed vividly some good signs of their presence".
Murochinsky Datsan "Baldan Breybun"
Murochinsky datsan (previous name is Tsongolsky datsan) is located not far from the settlement Murochi on the right bank of the Chikoy river on the road Bichura - Kyakhta.
Datsan is the first Buddhist centre of Lamaism in the West Transbaikalia. The great felt tent was found 15 yards of temple in the place Hilgantuj for divine services in 1741.
The datsan`s name «Baldan Brejbun» means from Tibetan into Russian "An absolute collection of Buddhist teachings` fruits". The worship building "Aryabala" built not far from the main temple complex in the place «Ranzhur» close by the sacred rock, on which it is possible to seethe prayerful inscription "Om mani padme hum".
This inscription was discovered by the first Datsan’s prior more than two centuries ago, and the place became the aim of Buddhist pilgrimage from all over the Central Asia and Transbaikalia. This is one or the other unique sacred Buddhist places in the world, in which Buddha put his sigh. You can find the second such place in Nepal.
